Having problems with Vodafone coverage?
It seems you’re not alone. One young man – Adam Brimo, became so fed up with Vodafone’s dropped calls and poor coverage that he set up a website called Vodafail. The site allows you to share your experiences with Vodafone’s network and even aims to create a real coverage map showing the quality of connection that users experience around Australia. An alternative to the coverage maps that mobile phone providers publish. There is a Vodafone alternatives page showing all the top tier telcos and which networks the smaller resellers use.
As of the time of writing there were close to 9000 complaints on the website and Piper Alderman are looking for customers with complaints to join a class action against Vodafone.

I have been with Vodafone for 15 years.
Up untill around early Dec 2010 I never had a problem.
Vodafone was the best mobile coverage of all in Palm Beach Sydney.
Then they lost it. In Dec 2010. We had no coverage for two weeks. Since the sometimes no service or constant drop outs.
Many calls to India. Sometimes an hour wait to get on to someone.
They had no idea what was happening.
I contacted the Phone Ombusman Office in Jan 2011.
A week later a call from Vodafone Australia to say the problem would be fixed in two weeks.
It was not.
Then lately calls from “Parvin” Vodafone in India. She was very co operative but could not give me a solution. They were keeping her in the dark as well.
Finally a call a few weeks ago to say they could not fix the Palm Beach coverage.
Move to another carrier they said.
Vodafone have totally and completly lost it.
They lie through their teeth.
I still can’t find out what has gone wrong. Does anyone know what is the cause of this fiasco?
How sad that the best coverage Carrier has completly screwed it all up.
This Vodafone is night mare from hell, today i got new moden.. well you wouldn’t belive this… it dont work.. yes keeps dropping out. I have rang company so many times asking for help…. what do they say move you phone and pc…. it your troubles not ours.

Now my moden so slow that could run side it….. Why do companys like this go on Tv.. suck people in…. this should be stoped knowing other people know it crap.
STAY AWAY.. IF DONT WANT BLOOD PRESSURE UP OR COULD GIVE YOU HEART ATTACK
Hi there,
I will join the cue, my 3 phone/voda phone service sucks, I need to call my clients back up to 3 times during a conversation, I have lost clients due to this, I have complaint to 3 phone so many times, we are only a number.
What can we do !!!!
Please advise me what to do.
I am still under contract for 24 months and my life is like hell when it comes to the mobile phone.
3G signal come and go, mostly go, not only in Parramatta area but also Burwood/Strathfield area.
This does not stop there, standard signal is instable and start dropping even in Sydney CBD.
My blackberry is now more often under “Searching for network” than connected. I am disgusted by this.
I have contacted customer service/technical suppor who then advised me to:
1. Back up my phone and reinstall all system/reformat the phone.
2. Change the SIM card, twice, which possibly a defect SIM card/too old for the coverge.
3. Master restart the phone by taking off battery and leave it for 30 seconds, and put it back on.
4. Perform diagnostic test and changing configurations, three times.
So far, none of those works. It makes no difference to the signal strength. This signal instability irritates and disappoints me. It makes no sense to me and hardly seems fair that I, as a customer, have to pay for Vodafone service every month when more often than not Vodafone failed to provide the service to the bare minimum.
I need advise, last resort is to cancel contract all together regardless the 24 months term is complete.
Thanks
Hi Teniwa,
Contact the Phone Ombusman Office. Tell me your story. I think they will tell you you can cancel your contract with Vodafone, with no penalty, as they are not delivering the service you are paying for.
Some one from Vodafone will call you. Tell them you want to cancel.
Go to another carrier who can deliver.
Good luck
